This is a safe and simple small pocket cruiser with a long short keel like many of the Compac models (Sovereign was also a Tampa Bay company like Compac). The boat rounds up long before a knock down. She has floatation chambers in the bow and under the aft bunks. All ports are screened and with the front hatch, there is excellent ventilation. It has a nice long cockpit and when sitting below the tall dog house affords reasonable comfort for me ( 6ft tall), though I could not fully sit up. The whole unit pulls nicely on the trailer with no sway and the extendable hitch makes launching very easy. We have found very few ramps that were too shallow. The teflon pads on the trailer make it easier to push off if she is not quite floating off the trailer. If you are looking for a two person overnighter, this boat works great and in my humble opinion, offers a lot for such a small package that was originally over $20k in 83'! It has been easier to trailer and setup than our Catalina 22' was and she never fails to draw a comment from passers by.
