Are you an empty-nester, taught in the past, and want to come back to your passion of teaching dance to kids? At minimum, can you commit through the summer of 2020?

If the answer to any, or many, of the above questions is “YES!” then please keep reading…

The oldest and most exciting dance school in the area will be hiring 2 new dance instructors in preparation for the 2019-2020 dance season. You will be joining a faculty of some of the most talented and passionate dance instructors in the Moscow and surrounding areas.

About Festival Dance Academy: As a multi-faceted non-profit organization in residence at the University of Idaho, Festival Dance Academy's mission is to provide access to quality arts education and programming through dance instruction (ages 3 - adult), and extensive outreach activities and collaborations with numerous community and university organizations. Our history spans over 40 years, offering a diverse range of classes in dance education in a recently renovated state of the art studio space. With over 20 classes between three locations (Moscow, Troy, and Genesee), including outreach education, we are still expanding. In any given year, we teach over one hundred students in the area jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, Pilates, contemporary, hip-hop, creative dance and more. Our dance-season runs from August through June.

About the job: Candidates should have an interest in teaching and choreographing for a variety of ages and skill levels, as well as value working on a team. Hours could be anywhere from one to five hours weekly and the studio is open Monday-Friday from 3:30pm to 8pm. A passion for teaching dance is a must. We are located in the PE Building at the University of Idaho, and Festival Dance is a high-energy-positive-environment with fantastic parents, students and staff.
