I bought this desk new over 30-years ago....the style does not fit our new house, or rather, we don't have a great spot for it. I do a bit of woodworking and was impressed with the solid Rosewood construction....dovetail drawers, and the carved detailing. Not sure what these fetch in the current market, but the solid Rosewood alone makes me guess they are not giving them away....likely would not even be able to import it without significant paperwork for the Rosewood. If this fits your need or style, you can't do better than this...it is in excellent condition.
