Almond, Vanilla, and Buttercup are three ewe lambs that were born this spring, April 2025. They are purebred, but not registered. Scrolling through the photos, you will find their dams pictured with the lambs. They were sheared and their hooves trimmed on Labor Day. The sheared photos are what they currently look like.
Almond is the darker one with the spots on her hips. Vanilla is the one without the spots.
Buttercup, the dark moorit (brown) lamb, seems to stand with her legs a little wide. I believe they are all healthy animals that would do well on a natural farm as that is how they are raised here. We are moving and I would rather sell them to a good home rather than end their lives. They are too young to be bred this year but should be good breeders next year.
They are a short tail breed, so you don't have to dock the tail. Also, you don't have to castrate the males. People say Icelandic is the best tasting lamb they have had. They do well on grass hay over the winter. I would say they compete with goats as weed eaters.
$345 per lamb
We are about 7-8 miles west of the fairgrounds in Colfax.
