We are wanting to go back to only purebred Nubians, so it is time to move Lacey and her kids along. She is an amazing doe; she gives about a gallon and a half of milk at peak production! She is an excellent mother, an extremely easy keeper, and she is friendly and easy to milk by hand. The udder pictures are ten hours full a week after kidding! She is registrable (I have her papers, but they were never sent in to ADGA) and from Treasured Sunrise. The only cons are that she is seven years old now, although I expect her to keep producing for a few more years- she doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all, and she had a case of mastitis last year that we were able to pull her through completely and continued milking her for the full season. She has no mastitis since kidding this year and is outproducing her twins. Seriously, if it weren’t for the family decision to stick with Nubians, this girl and her daughters would be a permanent part of our farm!
We are willing to take $500 for her with the buckling and doeling at her side, or will consider selling them separately as bottle babies and then sell her on her own, in which case we will ask $200 for the doeling, $100 for the buckling, and $350 for Lacey. The kids’ sire is an excellent registered Nubian buck. The doeling looks just like her mom, and the boy is brown and white like his dad. Both are friendly.
