This cross is famous in the UK as the primary commercial sheep because it grows great wool and produces prime market lambs when paired with a texel or suffolk ram. They are smarter and are more self-sufficient than black-faced sheep.

If you want to make money on your flock of sheep in the first year and every year, these yearling ewes are a good choice.
We also will have some ewe lambs that will be ready in August for $200 a piece.
These sheep have been raised on pasture and graze and eat grass hay in the winter. They don't have problems with worms as long as they are moved to clean pastures every few weeks. They'll eat bramble and thistle when other food is scarce. They get their hardiness and good mothering from the Cheviot and the size and desirable wool quality from the BFL.
