12 month old puppy needing home

This is Tux. He is a 12 month old mixed breed. His main mixes are boxer, pit, border collie. He is maybe 50lbs with a clean bill of health (up to date on shots/ neutered) except some seasonal allergies. He loves fetch, tug of war, tricks, and bones.
Pros: knows quite a few tricks (sit, shake, down, up, spin, speak, stay, come), love bug (thinks he’s a lap dog), and kennel trained during the day (he sleeps all night in bed, doesn’t get up). He loves other dogs and people.

Cons: He is a picky eater (I have found the magic recipe for his food but know not everyone would want to keep it up). He does not like car rides (drools in car). He is still very much a puppy!

He ideally would go to a family with a play mate, a yard and/or someone committed to exercising his body and mind. He is extremely smart and willing to please.
